The Rape Of Nankin : The Most Terrifying Book

The Rape of Nankin documents the history of the genocide in Nanking, china that took place during the second Sino-Japanese war.

The massacre was Committed by the Japanese on the Chinese during the year 1937 for six ensuing weeks.

The Late author Iris Chang goes into brutal detail about the atrocities committed in Nanking during this time.

This event is also referred to as the Nanjing massacre.

I was extremely shocked while and after reading this book.

In school (especially the UK where I’m from) this massacre isn’t talked about.

You learn about the holocaust and the historical significance of what happened.

But in the west the Nanjing massacre isn’t talked about much.

I highly suggest reading the rape of Nanking because just like the holocaust, it’s a part of history that should never be forgotten.

The events that took place in Nanking are too gruesome for me to write about in this article, so I highly recommend reading the book.

But proceed with caution, the events that took place were truly terrifying. The Nanjing Massacre is also referred to as the forgotten holocaust.
