Eggs are also very versatile, you can cook them in lots of different ways such as scrambled, boiled, fried and poached.
Below shows the different times that it takes to boil an egg on the hob depending on how you liked your boiled eggs.
4 minutes for dippy eggs ( eggs and soldiers meaning eggs with thin slices of toast).
5 minutes soft boiled.
8 mins medium boiled.
10 mins hard boiled.
