You’ll never be as strong as a silverback gorilla

Recently when I’ve been going to the gym to lift weights I’ve observed around, and noticed that some guys are huge beyond natural capabilities. There’s a good chance they’re on steroids.

But at the end of the day, it’s pointless to aim to get unnecessarily muscular because ultimately you will never be as strong as an oxen or a silver back gorilla.

I think most, if not all, the philosophers and erudite people throughout millennia would laugh

Thousands of years ago humans slowly became more civilised, starting off with civilisations like the Greeks and then the Romans (although some of their actions were questionable).

Now I go to the gym and I see middle aged men grunting away like pigs while lifting weights that are far too heavy.

I had a giggle to myself the other day because some of the noises people make, and the way they go about their lifting is quite frankly, ridiculous.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t lift weights

Lifting weights is great, it enables us to have strong, robust, bodies that serve us well for the rest of our lives. But many things can be taken too far and lifting weights is no exception.
